|We’re not short of railway stations in Blackheath with the main one in the village (well, it’s my main one, I might be being a bit village-centric here) but there’s one up near-ish to the Royal Standard called Westcombe Park (not to mention Lee, Lewisham, Kidbrooke, Charlton and the Woolwiches not that far away).
Blackheath station has had, for quite some time, a farmers’ market running on Sundays between 10 and 2pm but news has reached me today that there’s now one on Saturday’s at Westcombe Park station. Having been to Westcombe Park station (ooh – Maze Hill’s not far away either) a few times I’m struggling to imagine how practicable it might be to have stalls here as it’s a bit… hilly (in fact, I avoid the station in wet or icy weather). From memory there’s not a great deal of flat room… maybe there is and I need to check it out.
Anyway, I need to find a photo of an advert or more information. It’s probably available at the official Farmers’ Market website.
Has anyone been?

|If you like Royal Wedding stuff and live near Blackheath, Charlton, Lewisham or Greenwich then you might like this. If you couldn’t give two hoots about royals or weddings then note the location for avoidance purposes 😉
There will be bunting and face painting and each of the shops is offering (a) a discount or a deal and (b) a raffle prize – see link below for more info.
